The walls outside of Graceland in Memphis, Tenn., were tagged with graffiti by vandals on Sunday, with phrases like "BLM" and "No Justice No Peace."

Graceland is the site where rock legend Elvis Presley formerly resided.

The Levitt Shell stage, an amphitheater where Presley gave his first paid concert, was also vandalized with similar messages, according to Fox 13.

Graceland did not comment when contacted about the graffiti.

Fox 13 reporter Shelia O'Connor tweeted out photographs of the damaged walls on Tuesday morning, which included messages about the death of Breonna Taylor, who was killed in Louisville while police were serving a no-knock warrant on her home.

"Crews are cleaning up after someone spray-painted the walls of Graceland with messages like 'Defund MPD' 'Arrest Breonna Taylor’s murderers' and 'BLM' and more," she tweeted.

Other messages included, “I Can’t Breathe,” along with calls to defund the police.

The executive director of Levitt Shell spoke with the Memphis Police and said that between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., the property had been defaced.

 

The streets were tagged again. It said BLM, fuck, and stuff about killing police. Obviously criminals and police are natural enemies to each other. No one wants to go to jail. On my way home from work I was looking at the graffiti and thinking about how BLM is totally racist against black people. They are saying black people are all criminals who should be arrested and the only way to avoid it is to eliminate police. Because that is possible and self control isn't. Yep. BLM is no friend to black people. And so far I haven't actually seen any black people doing the tagging.

Talk about a bad career move.

A Popeyes worker in Texas lost their job after allegedly spitting in food before serving it to a police officer. The former employee reportedly wrote an anti-police slogan on the box as well, and even yelled the phrase while the officer waited in the drive-thru.

The incident reportedly occurred at a Popeyes in San Antonio after the police officer entered the restaurant's drive-thru at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, My San Antonio reports.



After placing his order, the officer said he could hear someone yelling “ACAB” — an acronym for "all cops are b-------" — while he waited for his food, but didn’t react. After receiving his food, the officer reportedly left the drive-thru and then noticed that the letters “ACAB” had been written on the inside of the food container.

According to the police officer, it also appeared that there was spit on the food.



In a statement obtained by My San Antonio, a spokesperson for Popeyes confirmed the employee's firing.

The statement read: “We want to apologize to the guest involved. The actions of the team member do not reflect the values of our brand nor the high level of service we strive to deliver to our guests. The team member no longer works at the restaurant and the owner has reached out to the officer to personally apologize.”

An SAPD spokesperson told My San Antonio that an investigation had been opened in regards to the potential food tampering.


“I'm sure that same officer would be there to protect and serve that establishment if it came to it," the police spokesperson said. "We're just going to go ahead and investigate it like we investigate every case and hopefully we come to some kind of peaceful resolution.”
